Biofeedback Basics: A Relaxing Path to Restored Balance

Are you curious about biofeedback sessions and how they work? If you’ve never experienced one, I understand—it can sound unfamiliar or even a little “techy.” Let’s break it down so you’ll know exactly what to expect during a biofeedback session, whether in person or remote.


What Is Biofeedback?

Biofeedback is a natural, non-invasive technology that helps identify where your body may be out of balance—emotionally, physically, or energetically. It’s one of the most insightful ways to assess how your body responds to stress and to help it restore balance naturally.


At It Is Well, we use the SCIO Biofeedback System—an advanced, computer-assisted technology that energetically measures imbalances and helps train the body to balance itself through frequencies that match your individual energy patterns.


The SCIO features an automatic feedback loop, which means it continually monitors your body’s response and adjusts the frequencies in real time—ensuring you receive exactly what you need, never too much or too little. Every session is customized to support your body’s unique rhythm of healing.


Before your session, you’ll complete a short lifestyle and health questionnaire that helps the system identify your personal energetic signature. Questions include your birthdate, number of amalgam fillings, caffeine intake, stress levels, and toxin exposures. This allows the SCIO to connect accurately with your frequency pattern and deliver precise energetic support—whether the session is done in person or remotely.


What Happens During a Session

Each session begins with a three-minute scan that identifies the body’s priorities—areas of imbalance or stress that are affecting your health and energy. As the operator, I review those findings to understand how they relate to your specific health concerns and patterns of stress.


From there, I use a series of automated therapeutic programs within the SCIO system to help retrain your body to respond more effectively to those stressors. These gentle energetic frequencies guide the body back toward balance and help restore its natural rhythm of healing.

If you’re attending in person, you’ll be comfortably connected to the system with a headband and wrist and ankle straps. Most clients don’t feel anything during the process—though many describe a sense of calm, peace, or deep relaxation as the body begins to realign.


Many of my remote clients share a similar experience, saying they finish their session feeling more peaceful, centered, and at ease, often noticing a deep sense of overall relaxation by the end.
